Hey folks, Badger fan checking in. I hope we get to play each other (after wins) on Sunday.
Just so you know, we were picked to finish 12th in the B10 (18), and then we unexpectedly beat Arizona, so now we're over-ranked. We lost 3 starters from last year - one to Louisville, one to Kansas, and one to graduation. One of the new starters, Tonje, came from Mizzou after an injury-plagued year, and ended up dropping 41 points on Az.
About the UTRGV game - it was two days after the huge Az win and 4 days before the Greenbrier tourney. UW really shouldn't be losing to a scrabble-rack of letters like that, but the Vaqueros had the ball behind by one with the shot clock turned off. Badgers were very fortunate. The coach of UTRGV is in his first year after being an assistant at BYU, and they just run stuff offensively that UW had extreme difficulty defending. I understand they gave Creighton some fits, too.
If we do get to play, you'll be favored.
