i like country myself, pumped for stapleton / george strait concert this summer. with that said, i just dont think it's appealing to the targeted demographic that today's nfl is going after, not do i think it's a good format for what the 1/2 time show is. it's more about the production and visual appeal than it is the music.
Stapleton did the national anthem a year or two ago and it was incredible, i'd leave it at that and just keep doing what they are doing for half time shows. plus, lets face it, you put a country singer in for a 1/2 time show, you'd ruffle A LOT Of feathers and get a very vocal backlash.
