After game thoughts (serious)...

1) Eli is a dawg. Had an ok 3Qtrs with average to below average line play, then the kid turns it on like a light switch, moving in the pocket, running for first downs, hitting open receivers. Amazing, some athletes just rise to the occasion when the pressure heats up. Did not see Green do this for the Eers, looks like he got nervous to me.

2) Oline is bad. Tackles slow with fast DEs. Not sure what to do with this problem. We are what we are. Do we make any changes to send a message for these guys to step it up or maybe they just can't.

3) Our D stepped up when it had too. Especially in 4th Qtr with big sack on Green.

4) Neil Brown playing the 3-8 D that is so soft late in 4th Qtr. If I am a Hoopie faithful, I want NB fired losing a 10 point lead late in the 4th Qtr. My nephew a senior at WVU called it an embarrassing loss as any.

5) Thank God Frank Cig is gone, he would have played for OT with the same situation in the 4th Qtr. Lord knows if we would have gotten a 50 yard field goal off with seconds remaining if the same situation played out. I love the way Kade Bell plays to win, but you need the personnel to execute, and we have the last 2 weeks.

A great night to be a Panther and many pissed off Hoopies tonight too. Enjoy and H2P!

Narduzzi, you freaking genius

Lets give the man some credit:

Firsts at Pitt

- division title and conference championship game appearance

- conference championship

- finishing regular season with less than 3 losses for first time since 1983

- undefeated in the non-conference

I don't think we've been 4-0 since 2000 and not sure the last time we were 5-0, probably early 80s.

Article A Brawl for the ages

n a rivalry filled with legendary games, 2024 proved a worthy entry.

With back-and-forth scoring, multiple double-digit scoring runs, six lead changes, epic individual performances and a comeback that will be talked about for a long, long time, the 107th edition of the Backyard Brawl was an instant classic.

The Panther-Lair Post-Game: Reactions to Pitt's comeback win vs. WVU

Pitt beat West Virginia in epic fashion on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium. After the game, we went live for the Panther-Lair Post-Game Show and talked about the win over the WVU, another big comeback, Eli Holstein and a lot more with comments and questions from Pitt fans.

That might be one of the most satisfying wins in Years

Beating your rival is always satisfying. But stealing victory from the jaws of defeat (WVU Pitted) and coming back like that late is like ripping their hearts out.

Eli for sure has a lot of development left but he has the IT factor. It’s rare to find QBs that can make plays like he did when the pressure is on

This is a young team. They could be really good if Duzz Can keep them together

Man. That was fun.

Just got home. Maverick Gracio and Daejon Reynolds

Who’da thunk. Those 2 out of nowhere with HUGE clutch plays.

OL needs to get it together. They have YSU and an off week to do it.

Oh, and Eli? He looks like he may have that very unique characteristic: a WINNER. That’s a great commodity for a freshman quarterback to have

We’ll have to wait and see where all this goes. But that was a HELLUVA great rally and win today.
H2P!!!!!!
