We had a lot of content this week previewing today's Backyard Brawl. Here are five things I think you should check out this morning to get ready for the game.

Anybody know who to contact for ticket help when the ticket office is closed ?

Our good friend Brennan Marion with horrible clock management just before halftime. Had ball in FG range inside 30 seconds in quarter 2 and 2 timeouts. Has QB run over to sideline to chat. Snaps the ball about 6 seconds.

Last fall my now 14 year-old granddaughter started playing volleyball, first on her school team and then on a club team. As a responsible grandparent I insured she became a big Pitt VB fan and promised her a trip to a Pitt match if she kept playing. She’s become passionate about the sport and we’ll be coming to Oakland on Sunday, 9/22 for the Marquette match. Given it’s my first VB match as well, IIwould appreciate some Iguidance on a few questions:
1) What is the best parking strategy? The ticket office guy said park on Champions Ave? Park on lower campus and walk to Fitz?
2). The doors open at noon but when should we be there to be part of the first general admission wave to get good seats?
3) Is there an opportunity after the match to interact with any of the players? (Photos/autographs))

Assume WVU scores 24 points Saturday: Given that, does Pitt win or lose?

Haven’t seen a post about this, but I found it curious that HCPN is not on the search committee. Like that Capel and Donald are on it. Was he asked and declined or was he not asked? I think the answer to that question in lieu of his statement on Lyke’s firing would speak volumes of the relationship he has with the new chancellor. Not saying his job is threatened given his contract and the financial problems the department appears to have. The optics don’t look good.

if that's my family member, i think that's a wrap for his career. i read that he can walk away with like $70m in his pocket today. i can't imagine it's worth his long-term health. scary stuff.
