The Steelers wearing throwback uniforms vs the Jets got me thinking about Pitt bringing back throwback uniforms with grey facemasks and white block numbers on the blue jerseys like they did in 2016 or even the road white version like @ PSU in 2017. Would be awesome.

Anyone think they’d do it? Especially with them doing the chrome facemask and chrome helmet sticker in the past two years I hope they would. If it’s a pay to play thing like NIL is for student athletes and we need to create a collective to donate to the equipment staff and whoever else needs to sign off on this to get it to happen, I can look into it.

Friends and I logged on, since we live in Philly. We all tried different sessions. I tried semifinals and those were sold out as soon as I logged on. Every other session was last two rows ONLY, in the upper deck. Gonna take my chances the day of with stubhub or seatgeek and keep my fingers crossed. Was hoping to see at least a session. Any luck for anyone else?

living in Greenville I listen to the Clemson "Homer" talk show 105.5 That are ranting about Clemson being disrespected. Said that Pitt's field conditions cause a huge advantage for Pitt. Said Syracuse and Cal were impacted by the terrible field conditions. I watched both games and never heard field conditions ever come up. Watched the steelers game and not a mention. Did I miss something or is this "fake" news. Oh, by the way Clemson had an early bye week and moved up 4 in the polls---disrespected may ass......Clemson is good, and their lines are superior to Pitt, but their best win is their "loss" to Georgia. They need Pitt more than anything.....

so I was thinking this morning it may be best if PSU beats the buckeyes.. A real scenario is Pitt losing to Clemson for the only loss. Misses ACC title game. PSU makes title game in the BIG and loses to Oregon. I think a one loss Pitt team gets in and possibly plays at PSU.. Personally would love that. The BIG would have PSU Oregon and IU.. Acc would have Clemson Miami and Pitt. However if PSU loses to the buckeyes I think a one loss PSU team gets in and now four BIG teams get in..including the Buckeyes. Possibly knocking Pitt out.. Not sure I am thinking of this in the correct way or not.. just a thought

For reference, born in 1985. Until they lose the second day, I think you can continually call it the biggest game since the 1980s. The ACC championship was great, however, these games have true national implications if we keep winning

Is anything less than a championship going to be a disappointment this year?

I would say anything less than a return to a final 4 will be a disappointment. Losing in the final 4/championship game will be disappointing but not as devastating as an early exit.

The university has never won a national championship on the field before in a sport so this is a momentous occasion with a lot of pressure

Silver lining to the rankings snub, Vegas line, and TV snub…Maybe Duzz will try to use it all to his advantage.

I’m not one to believe that playing the disrespect card works, but I like the idea of the team being focused with a chip on their shoulder. I prefer it this way over being ranked 10th and having lots of press clippings for the team to be distracted by.

If they get through next week, there will be press clippings and there will be better rankings and there will be buzz. But Virginia is Virginia and they aren’t as dangerous as SMU. And then the following game vs Clemson we will be dogs again. So being focused won’t be a problem.

I think things are setting up as well as they could for us.

With all of the good news about volleyball and men’s soccer this Fall, it would be easy to overlook the major decline in the women’s program this year. The 7-1 trouncing by FSU was the culmination of a very disappointing year.

The big difference between this year’s team and last year’s team, which made a deep run in the NCAA tournament before losing to eventual national champion FSU, was at forward. They lost Amanda West and two of the other leading goal scorers from last season and simply had no replacements for them. None of the freshman forwards showed any real talent.

Realistically, if Randy was paying attention to his roster, he should have recruited the future replacements for West, et al., two seasons ago. But other than Abiodun, I didn’t see a talented freshman or sophomore on the pitch all season.

Female soccer players tend to commit early, so it is not going to be easy to fix what is wrong without hitting the transfer portal hard. That is something he hasn’t done in the past. But, it is happening a lot in the sport.

To compound the problem, the best 4 players on the team other than Abiodun — Schupansky, Coffield, Phiri and Melenhorst — all appear to be out of eligibility.

I think a major rebuild is going to be required, including the transfer portal and foreign recruiting, or this program will take another big step back next year. It took so long for them to escape being an ACC doormat and I know we don’t want to see that happen again.

So for those in the know.. Daughter has 17 Honda HRV with 90K miles on it.. At 65 K miles a honda dealership flushes the transmission fluids, At 90 K miles the transmission dies due to no fluid per another honda dealership. 8000 dollar repair... Does this make sense?
