With Pitt Football 6-0, Olympic sports doing well and Pitt Basketball being top 20-30 over past two seasons, and anticipating a good 2024-25 season, what period looking back over the past 20 years (or longer for some posters/subscribers) would you rate as the best for Pitt Sports in general?

Seeing how dead the board is with the team 6-0, while the rest of the city complains about a 4-2 Steelers team "not having a top passing attack" shows just how much Pittsburgh sports fans dont know what to do with themselves when they dont have something to bitch about.

If we assume 2 ACC teams (Clem and ND for bowl purposes) to CFP then you could be looking at:

Pinstripe - Pitt
Holiday - Syracuse
Mayo - NC or VA team. They have never selected a team outside of the Carolinas or Virginia. They did get stuck with BC once but that was because BC made the ACCCG so they werent allowed to fall past that bowl.

Then you have the Birmingham, Military, Fenway, and Gasparilla.
