Cleaned old mowers and JUNK chevy3100 holding for brother in law out of garage and now looking to rent. Will put sofa and bed frame inside but admit gets chilly in there. No mattress because junkies will cut open and put stash inside. Had that happen twice. Does any one know the rules on keeping a stable temperature in renting unit? No fancy heating but can run extension to main house for space heater that we think can make sleeping area 60 degrees F at night. May need light jacket but no different then how the grandfathers did it. Price is 80 a week and do NOT rent by month so can kick you the hell out if being a mennis. Greene county pennsylvania. Well....it happened....Pitt lost a match.....and to an SMU team that they effectively destroyed just 3 days earlier

• The explanation is pretty simple....we made 45 errors (about 4 more/set than expected) and scored only 75 points (nearly 3 pts/set less than expected)
• It all came crashing down in set 4.....when it appeared we were on a glide path to another win after soundly winning set 3 by a 25 - 13 margin
• SMU won set 4 because Pitt had 10 errors....SMU only scored 15 points in set 4.
• Look at it this way.....Pitt on average gives back about 6 pts/set due to errors....not 10 pts/set like today
• We lost set 4 by a score of 25 - 23. Just 2 less errors....8 instead of 10....and we win....match over
• Or looked at another way....Babcock and Stafford were held to a combined 2 points/set under their average for the match....also enough to win that crucial 4th set.

SMU gets credit for a great game plan and coming back after being whacked in set 3. In set 5.....SMU was a hitting machine....11 points to Pitt's 6. Errors were essentially even....Pitt committed 4....SMU 3. We now return home for 4 straight home matches....2 of which are Louisville and Stanford. Fisher and his staff will be ready. This will be a learning experience.....and it will be a valuable one.

ESPN's fifth-ranked pocket passer in the 2023 class, Holstein has electrified the Pitt offense and charged one of the most surprising unbeaten starts in 2024. The former Alabama quarterback is leading the nation's 14th highest-scoring offense (40.8 PPG) with 15 touchdowns to five interceptions across the Panthers' 6-0 start. Only 10 FBS passers have completed more than Holstein's 25 passes of 20-plus yards through six games.

32. RB Desmond Reid​

Reid, an All-America performer at the FCS level, followed his offensive coordinator, Kade Bell, to Pitt and quickly proved he's one of the ACC's best all-purpose playmakers. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound back has put up 494 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Reid leads all Power 4 backs in receiving yards with 341 and four TDs on 25 receptions. He also took his only punt return of the year back for a 78-yard touchdown against Kent State. Reid is averaging 8.8 yards per touch for the 6-0 Panthers.

He is still a freshman, after all. not even 20 years old for another 2 weeks.

Now that there will be no more "Heisman" and "All-American" hype - maybe the Cal game was a humbling experience that brings him down to earth and makes him work extra hard now.

His post-game comments were very mature for a 19-year-old and showed that maybe he "gets it".


I wouldn't be surprised if he had a monster game against Syracuse.

Pitt's offense struggled in a lot of ways against Cal on Saturday, and third down was no exception.

On the season, the Panthers have converted 29-of-70 attempts at third down for a solid 41% conversion rate. But it seems like Pitt has issues to correct there after its worst performance of the season on third down.

I should have seen Eli Holstein's performance coming.

I finally moved him to No. 1 ahead of Kyle Louis last week, and Holstein responds with a big stinker. And to emphasize the point, Louis had 12 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack.

Point made, and Louis is going back to the top spot. The question is, do I drop Holstein to No. 3 behind Desmond Reid? Or is that an overreaction to Saturday's game?

Well, it might be an overreaction, but I'm still doing it anyway. And I'm giving Ben Sauls his due, too; I just hope I don't also jinx him.

I know wins against Syracuse and SMU are by no means guaranteed. But I can’t help but wonder, if Pitt wins both to get to 8-0, will they be in the Top 12 when the first College Football Playoff ranking is released on Nov 5?

I'm torn between something that is a picture or something from the 13-9 game OR the year after where Wanny gave him the ball like 40 straight times to beat WVU at home, on the game-winning drive. I don't understand Carter only getting 2 carries in that game. When they had the ball after the missed field goal, why wouldn't he be in there to help run out the clock? The 2 carries he did have were productive. I just don't understand Bell's rationale on Pitt's last offensive drive.

For your interest.....big game....5th ranked Stanford at 12th ranked SMU....and I am not sure who I would like to see win this one. The game is 7 PM eastern time and will be televised on ACCN.

What does the thumb-hand extended- to the forehead mean. first saw a Cincy player use it-and then by a number of pitt players.

* I feel increasingly good that we had such a poor day on offense. Because it seems to me that the entire O staff and players will be laser focused on dissecting every single play from the Cal game and “figurin’ it out”. I believe that process is going to lead to maybe our best offensive game of the season so far, against next opponent Syracuse.

* Even though there is plenty of room for national poll voters to doubt us due to the close score and the egg our O laid in the Cal game, we STILL moved up in all the polls. We’re attracting some national notice, ‘Lairmen!

* Saturday probably gave OC Bell a jolt. HCPN reports Bell is a hard worker. I bet he doubles down on prep and planning for Syracuse.

* Despite having his worst game Saturday, Eli displayed calm confidence while freely accepting responsibility in the post game interview. My bet is he puts aside all self doubt and executes especially well against Syracuse.

* how many touches will it take Rodney to get untracked?
