For me, it's the 17-yard scramble around the :32 mark of this video. That was the "wow" play, I thought.

I also love that Pitt went empty on first-and-goal from the 6, telling everyone in the stadium that a draw was coming and still running it - and nearly getting in.

While I think this is way too early, and Pitt will need to continue to win… a lot….it is nice seeing someone paying attention to how good of a start Holstein has had.

I'm in the South Side for Pat Narduzzi's weekly press conference. I'll post news, notes and updates in this thread.

Narduzzi said he thought the team lost its composure a bit in the game on Saturday, citing seven unforced errors.

i’ll preface this by saying I’m very “modern” in my views on offense in CFB.

I love the up tempo, love being aggressive (going for it, trying to score late in halves, going for TDs instead of FGs, etc)

And I’m on board with about 99% of Kade Bell’s doings so far

But I sure hope we have an under center package for 4th and inches

It’s fine sometimes to be in shotgun in these situations as sometimes you want to spread the defense out or whatever…. Countless times over the years we’ve come out in goal line O and got stuffed when everybody in the stadium saw it coming.

But man…. Equally frustrating is when the offense just REFUSES to have a single under center package.

Was very glad that didn’t hurt us at the 1 on Saturday.

They are terrible conference partners and the are rather mediocre in sports. I believe their best sport now is women's soccer. Finally, Tallahassee is the worst area of Florida, by far.

I say boot FSU like the Big East booted Temple and invite USF. Tampa is a beautiful metropolis on the Gulf and USF has more potential than FSU. I'm also guessing that USF would do a SMU like move to join the ACC.

F them all. That state should be treated like contained zombies in a horror movie: secure a perimeter around it and don't let them out.

because its beyond me why he never saw that those slow developing offensive plays were not going to work when WVU was in the Pitt backfield on most all of those plays. Yet he continually called those plays and Pitt ended up with too many tackle for loss plays. I think WVU's game plan was to get to Reid before he had a chance to get going with the ball. Reid should have been split out to give him room to operate. Thus Bell gets at best a grade C plus for the game. And that's only because we won the last 5 minutes of the game offensively.

Taking my little guy to his first Pitt game this weekend. What's the policy for kids under 2 years old? do I need a ticket for them?

On the Monday after an epic comeback in the Backyard Brawl, we're thinking about what happened on Saturday, what it means going forward and more from the win over West Virginia.

I am watching the huddle and they are going around the days games. They are talking about Florida St. Eddie Royal made the point that Florida St is playing undisciplined and they are making the same mistakes they did in the 1st 2 weeks. He said they should watch film and if guys are not playing with their hair on fire...sit them down. My question is a team like Florida St who is paying so much NIL money to those kids.....who need benched. Could they ever actually bench them? I mean you basically promised them money...would you play the guys who are not being paid over them? This is a very interesting thing about NIL. They are almost untouchable because you are not gonna accept money sitting on the bench.

Funny how it's not all rainbows and unicorns even with all that NIL money to buy players.

Duzz called out the horrible officiating, and our beloved university got fined $5k.

Over the last few years, when it comes to the Pitt LBs @Chris Peak has been like that guy at the horse races putting $ on that horse he knows is going to win only to tear up ticket and walk away after the race.

It looks like he might have a winning ticket.

Louis and Biles look great - attacking the LOS, making TFLs, dropping into coverage.
George has been solid, Lovelace is starting to figure things out.
Thompson looked like anther strong transfer add.
Funny thing is, Bass, who had us all stressed out during his recruitment, is taking longer to get going while the guys recruited around him are making their marks.

But I think Elliott Donald played a very serviceable DT this week against WVU

He was STOUT at the point of attack. I tried to watch him every time he was on the field during my rewatch

He simply doesn’t get pushed around out there and he’s one of only 2 guys (nick James) I can really say that about.

He did an excellent job stacking his blockers on run plays and making sure LB had clean holes to fill. You need 2 guys to move him, and that is a huge plus compared to the rest of the DTackles

Now, he’s not dynamic so the pass rush element will never be there, but I’d like to see more of him in early downs and in the goal line package

Late in the game when WVU had the ball in deep on our end and the goal line DLine was Scott-James-Brewu-Edwards and frankly Brewu got CREAMED off the line for a Donaldson walk in.

Donald should be in that package until Fitz is back
