The Steelers would never go after him. Between what he brings, what the Steelers would have to pay him, and what the Steelers already have on the roster, Larry doesn't make sense as a Steeler. That money will be spent on defense or locking up Bell (which I still see as possible).

The Steelers would never go after him. Between what he brings, what the Steelers would have to pay him, and what the Steelers already have on the roster, Larry doesn't make sense as a Steeler. That money will be spent on defense or locking up Bell (which I still see as possible).

The Steelers are projected to have over $30million in cap space nexr year. It won't take 30 to fix Bell and Brown. The Steelers are happier than you think with the play of the young guys. Maybe an OLB? They'll continue to address needs in the draft.

I could see them suring up the wr core by adding fitz for 1 years. Brown, Fitz, Rodgers, Hey-Bey, Coates. Dump Bryant and don't re-sign Wheaton. Let it rip!

Perhaps I heard this wrong, but in his interview with Jim Gray Sunday night (or was it Monday?), Jim Gray asked him about retiring. Sounded as if Fitz hadn't committed to playing next year. I'd be surprised if he wasn't.

Revis would still make a damn fine FS I believe. He's not physical enough for SS but has more than the knowledge, athletic ability & skill to play at a high level for a while longer. He's not the amazing lock down athlete he was at one time but then not many people ever where as good as Darelle Revis for those 5-6 years.
And is it not amazing how quickly Aaron Donald took the entire NFL by storm to the point he was immediately acknowledged as arguably the Best in football. Now I believe he grades out higher than any defensive players week in & week out.
It's crazy how Pitt guys become the dominate players at their positions....Fitz, McCoy, Lee, Donald, Revis were all the best at what they did at different times in recent NFL seasons.
