This was from '5 Burning Questions in an Uparralled Coaching Carousel'

3) What’s the most intriguing subplot of the coaching carousel?

The race for Rhode Island coach Dan Hurley will be fascinating. Pittsburgh should have the jump on landing him, as they’re expected to part ways with Kevin Stallings in the next few days. (And likely pay him more than $9 million to go away.) UConn is certainly interested, but it has its own fiscal issues in the short term (see above) and the long term. Count on Hurley to seek greener pastures – ACC teams make upwards of $20 million more annually than AAC teams.

There’s been no sign from Pittsburgh that they have any interest in keeping Stallings. The payout will be painful, but the fit has been brutal and the school can’t afford to fall further behind. Pitt’s best teams under Ben Howland and Jamie Dixon had a strong toe-hold in the Northeast, which makes Hurley a natural leading candidate there

Note: the point where he says see above about Uconn is that they really have football revenue and his buyout is $10 million so they are unlikely to fire him unless the NCAA find he committed infractions.

Edit: I got a link that works. So here is the link to the whole article if you want to read it:
