Seriously, I can't believe Dixon would leave Pitt because of lack of support. However, if he does feel that way, then please leave. The Pitt program has consistently upped its spend every time he has been courted with other schools and frankly has given him almost carte blache.
Moreover, Dixon helped make Pitt a national brand and with that comes higher expectations. If you want to get more support, then it comes by winning more games. The Pete was sold out consistently when they were contending for the Big East.
To me, this sounds like Jamie is denying any accountability for what has happened the past 5 years.
My god, if he can't handle the expectations at Pitt, then TCU is the best place for him. He certainly is not the coach to take Pitt to a higher level if he is going to whine about a drop in support after a subpar 5 years.
If he's seriously considering leaving Pitt because of unappreciative fan base good bye.

His contract says he is appreciated. His crappy NCAA resume and last game says plenty about the future of Pitt basketball. If you can't recruit how do you expect to compete in the ACC.
I hear it's not pressure or lack of appreciation from the Pitt fan base that has Jamie thinking of leaving. It's coming from all the other ACC schools, they're not to happy about that one blemish on the conference's 10-1 tourney record so far. They see Jamie continuing to be good enough to get to the dance in future years but not adding any W's to the conference tourney record.

After how the committee and other tourney forecasters treated Cuse putting them in the tourney after PITT beat them 3x's shows me that the committee and others don't appreciate Dixon or his work as much as some of you think! I also think that impacted his standing in the ACC coaches pecking order! Top of the heap in the Big East not so much in the ACC!

There are 3 plus million reasons Dixon should feel appreciated. Anything else cited as a reason he feels slighted is petty and a bitch move.
He has 3 million units of support from Pitt each year; but the results haven't matched the support he has received. Getting another raise should be out of the equation this time.
Hahahahahaahahahaha. Laughable. His next move should be retirement then. Unless they don't criticize anyone at some other D1 school.
