This is from the PG from Craig Meyer and a quote from her in the interview:
Lyke said Stallings has, in many ways, met her expectations, and that he has put in the effort and preparation she desires.
“He got the best students and athletes that he possibly could find,” Lyke said of Stallings not opting for what could be considered a quick fix. “He built that the way he wanted to do that.”
Amid the team’s struggles, there’s also the unavoidable fact that Lyke, who was hired by the school last March, was not the athletic director who hired Stallings. Lyke, however, said that will not prompt her to make one decision or another.
“That does not matter,” she said. “I didn’t hire a lot of the coaches I get a chance to work with and have the privilege to work with every day.”
