The Crimson Tide will come to Morgantown in 2026 and that guarantees WVU will have Alabama and either Texas or Oklahoma on their home schedule.

How about that. Getting Alabama to do a true home-and-home OOC series.

That said, it would be a bad series for us. As great as Bama is, yinzers wouldn't come out en masse to see them. Only Ohio State, Michigan, ND, PSU really move the turnstiles if we ourselves stink, which we usually do.

The entire structure of college football could be different in that length of time ... frankly, we should hope so... it's not working out so great for us the way it is now.

But what that may also mean is these schedules may not be worth the electric impulses on the computer screen. Contraction, reconferencing, leveling, etc. WVU may or may not be in a tier that warrants playing an Alabama. Pitt may not be in a tier that warrants playing WVU...
