It is obvious that this is Capel's last year so the only players we will realistically get are players who are also in their last year. Its one shot for everyone involved. Honestly, you'd have to be kind of dumb to commit to a lame duck coach. And if I was Capel, I would use this to sell 5th/6th year guys. "You're my guy. I have one shot to get to the NCAAT. I'm not bringing in any younger transfers to develop in front of you."

He couldn't have played at this level. Doesn't necessarily mean we slow-played him or didn't extend him a committable offer (maybe we did; maybe we didn't), but he would have been bench decor in the ACC.
