Arizona in Hot Water

Five Level 1 allegations. Hard to see sweaty boy escape unscathed.

WAAAAY overdue Now we'll have to wait see what the sanctions/repercussions in terms of penalties actually are.

And what other cheating programs get taken to task, as well.

If I had a nickel for every time (over the last couple of years) I heard that Kansas and Arizona are in hot water, well, I wouldn't be here posting 'If I had a nickel.....'

And how many of those times involved five level one violations?

Look. I get it. The NCAA is awful and these schools have gotten away with whatever they want. But there are some seemingly legit violations being issued by the NCAA. They're forcing their own hand to do something.

Yes. But I thought the same with Miami, LSU, Louisville, UNC, Kansas, etc......

It seems like the NCAA makes this grand theatre of these allegations then they just wait, and wait and wait until the public forgets about it and moves on to something else.

arizona in hot water, sean miller in hot water, lol. it's like groundhog day on here.. yeah, im sure this time is different.. i'll see you guys in 12 months when maybe there is a decision made. Meanwhile, they just signed another 4 star guard..

Didn't Arizona re-structure Miller's contract? I have a suspicion that if any meaningful sanctions are levied, then Miller is gone, and, as I understand it, there is no buy-out to line his nest egg.
This is correct. He smartly took a ton of money up front so they can fire him for cause later.

I find it Quite Comical that the posters in this thread condemn all the cheating in College Basketball, yet don’t care that we hired a Coach that has Bought players at 3 possibly 4 programs. Very Odd..

It is funny that I told @Sean Miller Fan in another thread no one cares about ncaa violations and he cried and cried that Miami and others were committing them but since Sean’s the one committing these it’s not a big deal. Doesn’t want anything to happen.

I think most teams cheat but what I really despise is when teams similar to Pitt cheat and get guys we used to get under Dixon. SHU, PSU, Miami, LSU, Auburn, and Prov. Also NC State.

If Az, Kansas, Duke, etc want to outbid each other for blue chippers, whatevs, we weren't getting those guys anyway.

Ah yes. No reasons we would be losing recruits to NC State, LSU, Miami or Auburn other than money. No doubt. If I’m a potential college kid and see the women at those places, especially dressed for football game, I think to myself please give me the women of Pitt who like to add a 10 lb winter coat.

Haha that aspect certainly helps, but if you’ve ever been to one of these big state schools or talked to kids who are student athletes there, it’s just another world even for a P5 like Pitt. Not to say that the athletes at Pitt don’t get treated well because they do, but it just doesn’t compare to the way kids are treated at these big state/southern schools where they are the biggest stars in town

If Miller was at Pitt or SMU, then they would definitely get hammered. Arizona is too powerful on the west coast to get anything more than a slap on the wrist. Miller might sit out one year and then get hired somewhere else.

In a way, I hope he gets fired or a show cause so he can take over for Capel when Capel leaves.

SHU, Prov, PSU?????

Are you saying my list of schools weren't buying players?

I’m saying you pick and choose when you care about it and complain about it. It’s so disingenuous. Why do you care if Miami does it but don’t care if Arizona does? It’s so dumb. Stop complaining about it

Because Pitt doesn't compete with Az for recruits. They are a higher level.
