The mix of teams was somewhat different back then though. The Bonnies, Dukes, LaSalle, and Holy Cross were still big time programs. Nova was powerful, as were PC, St. John's, and St. Joe's. Pitt was falling into a hole, UConn was small time, and Georgetown was terrible, and had never been much of a factor.Good find!!!
They brought up that game on last night’s broadcast and also mentioned Duke being pretty good in that era , and Eastern League being some badass BB.
