Big VB weekend....

Sad about Pitt's conference standing in the attendance department though.

Surprised it wasn't mentioned in the first paragraph.
Can't have a Pitt article, in any sport I guess, without it.

I'll be at the game on Sunday with my 3 and 5 year old girls, they are super excited. It'll be my first time to a competitive volleyball match, so it should be interesting. I'm assuming that the easiest parking would be the OC lot, is that correct?

Yep, OC lot, or barring that, the TV lot under the Cost Center.

i always park on robinson street becuase it is a. free and b. not a bad walk

one thing i will say is that it is not that bad of a walk for me, but it could be a bit of a hike for the kiddos depending on where you find a spot

Took my kids for the first time a few weeks ago. They had a blast.

While it gets old, I do think that is going to be something that will determine long term if the commitment should be there for the Olympic sports. The admin is putting up the money and bringing in strong coaches, and I think they are improving, but if support is still low then they just may not see it being worth it.

Now that said, I think attendance has improved and it's a cultural thing here in the city. Pitt Olympic sports have typically been pathetic.

Ive gotten into them over the past 5 or 6 years and have attended numerous baseball, softball and now volley ball games. Still have to make it for soccer.

I do wonder, if that 12 out 15 if we are being blow away or if we are like 50 people from being in the top 5. When we went for FSU, it was a good crowd.

Nobody is pushing olympic sports as a means of making a profit. Whatever fans this team draws is just a bonus.

Pitt takes 1st set 25-23. Really a nice crowd tonight!

Pitt takes 2nd 25-17. The field house is packed. Don’t see an open seat. Very cool!
