That is so hard to fathom, you would think he would of gotten at least one rebound by accident.Does he even try or is he a cigar store mannequin
He had one in his hands on an uncontested free throw miss-
He fell backwards trying to box out and had it tipped out of his weak hands from behind .
It was a shameful display

How is that possible?

In a WIN, no less.
I don't even know what to say anymore. I am a 53 year old man who is 6' 1'' and 185 pounds and i am pretty sure by accident that a rebound could come off close enough to me that I could get at least one in 18 minutes. That said, I could probably only run up and down the court twice at the most before needing oxygen.

I had hopes he would improve during his junior and senior seasons. I actually thought that he was the one thing Stallings left to the program that was useful. Turns out, he is almost as useless as the guy who recruited him here.

Ryan Murphy - with a combover and 6’2” had 4 rebounds

To answer the question, to score you have to shoot, which other than tap ins, involves grasping the ball with one's hands, to rebound one also must use one's hands to grasp the ball. Grasping the ball is not one of Browns strengths.

Capel praised his effort in the second half in the post game interview, and said it was “big” for our team. He did block a couple of shots. Who knows what happens if those shots go in ? He is our only shot blocker so when he is in the game that’s the only thing that I expect. Anything else is gravy.

Capel knows he’s made of tissue paper -
So treats him delicately

Brown will have some stinkers. Brown will have some 15-12-5 games where we think he’s nba bound. Seems to just be who he is right now.

If he ever becomes consistent, we are a MUCH better team, so hope it happens.

It also illustrates why we so badly need the three incoming 6-8 and taller guys we have arriving for next season (6-9 Hugley, 6-10 Amadasun, 6-8 Collier).

I'm not sure what makes 6-8 a particularly "magic" number. Chevy was 6-7 and was very good playing both the 4 and 5. Actually, he was 6-5 1/2. He told me so himself. Ontario was listed at 6-6 and was an All-Big East Center (and he was actually 6-4 1/2). We already know that Dejuan was an All-American Center at 6-6 1/2. Bonzie Coulson was an All-American power forward at 6-5.

Justin can be a really excellent power forward at 6-6 is he gets stronger.

We need better players in the post, but it's not really a question of hitting the "6-8 threshold" in my opinion.

Case in point ... our tallest and longest player is Terrell Brown at 6-11.

15-12-5??? 15 minutes, 12 TOs 5 fouls??
Lol. I’m pretty sure that he’s had a few 15 point, 12 rebound, 5 block type games, but I’m also still at the bar in NC celebrating the win, so I might simply be fantasizing. I hear a lot of ‘ish from my UNC buds down here, so I’m allowed to be excited about the potential of a 3-0 season sweep (hoops and footie).

Most points he has had in a game this season is 8, most rebounds is 4, so fantasy might be at play. Or alcohol?

Brown has 1 double digit rebound game in his career and it came with 4 points and zero blocks...

Chevy is a good example of how you don’t need just size to rebound.

I played craps next to him at the casino once. If he’s 6’7” then I suppose when I look at myself in the mirror I resemble brad Pitt.

The best example at Pitt was Jerome Lane.

6'4" and led the Big East in rebounding... and was pulling down 15-to-20 boards many nights.

Right, like I said, about 5 years ago, he told me he was actually just 6-5 1/2. But nobody in college defended Emeka Okafor better!

I can't fathom how someone with his size can be so soft. There was a play early on where Bacot got the ball down low and he didn't even need to bump Brown back towards the hoop. Brown just let him walk in and made some weak attempt to block the shot. Even worse, he has no interest in rebounding at all.

I hoped he would wake up, but he is what he is.

Smartest front line guy ever at Pitt. Tortured high draft picks. Who was the UCONN dude with cornrows he abused??

Josh Boone.
Bingo. Some day your memory will fail you. Of course, I don't make notes!!!
Fun to watch the kids grow up a bit tonight. Never made it to North Park Lounge....there are 3 of them.
