Listen, you can't post anything the least bit derogatory towards PSU over there. I've been banned for years and that's just how they operate it. Its a cultist board. I would guess there is a PSU board that accepts free thought but BWI is not one.
If you really want to post there you have to spend a long time building up a reputation as a pro-PSU supporter then maybe, maybe they will accept a slightly negative post every blue moon.

Listen, many of us were furious Peak deleted a thread last week on the premium board. You really gotta get your money's worth over there at BWI. You get 1 post that maybe 50 people see before Hitler sees it and deletes it.
I got blocked because they had started a conversation over there about violence at Heinz Field on September 10. They proceeded to trash us as usual. So, I told them that I was gonna throw one of them off the upper deck to the field. I got blocked within 15 minutes.

I was banned a few years ago over there and I've never posted anything even remotely bad, at all. THink it's juvenile and pointless to go over there or wvu's board just to get into it..
Some fan, think it ended up being a pitt fan actually, posted how the psu leaders where great over at psu and talking about how much success they've had in the nfl. Non Sandusky related, dude mentioned Matt Millen LOL. IT was so well worded that you couldn't tell if it was a joke or a senile PSU fan (tough to tell sometimes). Regardless, he had everyone fooled and so when it came out it was a joke, everyone involved in the thread was banned..
You have to tow the party line. Any post that even implies jo pa did anything wrong or that the Grand Experiment was a house of cards or even questions Jerry's innocence is cause for removal from BWI. I personally suspect many BWI posters don't see anything wrong with their scandal because they may see themselves in Jerry's shoes.

They used to ban everyone that had "Pitt" in their screen name unless it was in some sort of derogatory way even before they had a chance to post. People have said that when the boards last got updated that it wiped all that out and that everyone was "unbanned", but it wouldn't surprise me if all that meant was the losers in charge over their had to go back in and re-ban people.
I got banned a few years ago for a crack during basketball season. My little you can't spell nittany without NIT post didn't go over too well. I can only imagine had I made a Sandusky joke or made a Paterno comment. WOW

The crazy Joebots over on BWI have started a thread to have a discussion with Tom McAndrew about leaving the Rivals network. The best part is that this discussion with McAndrew has to take place "come Monday." Obviously, St. Joe impressed upon the Cult the sanctity of weekends.

Yes, and those attributes are surpassed only by your immense modesty.
It's not that simple. Here are some things I've noticed over time...
- Not only do you have to post "pro-PSU" but you have to post it using the right narrative. They eat their own pretty regularly.
- Many guys have more than one handle and will come at you a dozen different ways. Usually one handle is purely for trolling and the other is their public face.
- There appears to be somebody in "mod" mode all day and night because everything happens so quickly.
- They spend a lot of time on every other message board watching for anything about them. If you can remember high school, you probably knew a girl that was always paranoid about her reputation. This isn't much different.
- For the most part, they're not idiots. I'd say most of them are very smart. Just committed to any ideology.
- Many, many Philadelphia sports fans. Was overwhelmed by the concentration of them at Penn State, too. Since their pro teams never win, PSU is their gravy train.
