Capitals fan attacks woman in Penguins Jersey

I was at a steelers / ravens game in like 06 or 07, last game of the year, game meant nothing. we had playoffs locked, they sucked. man, that game was miserable, fans throwing crap at me, was hit in the face with a snowball before I was out of my car.. literally clocked in face before I closed my door, while parking. miserable slushy rain, gray and cold. all to watch Brian St. Pierre play some horrible qb for them, think it was troy smith. Of course I was with the old lady and not a bunch of friends so I couldn't even act tough, no beer muscles, just a biblical take of turning the other cheek.

that's why I tell you all, if you are going to away games, leave the family at home and go with a couple buddies. getting your ass kicked in front of wife and kids isn't cool, it's downright depressing, getting into it with you and some friends, that's a funny story for a later day.

Was at the Pitt - VT away game at Blacksburg when we broke through with a big win after flirting a couple times. No chanting (that's a little cornball) but definitely some strutting and loud talk from our group going back to the car (and during the celebratory brews in the lot). Their fans couldn't have been more cool about it and were a lot of fun. As they were the game before there, when we narrowly lost (and Vick had his leg injured). I haven't been back since unfortunately but like that place a lot.

Flip side a situation that got ugly was the Pitt Toledo away game. Even though they won the game (more accurately, Paul Rhoads lost it), we walked a hostile gauntlet back to our car. Their fans were total aholes. Cans were thrown and vicious threats and profanities cast. From the WINNING team fans...I could see good old fashioned mockery (we certainly were humiliated for sure) but they were P*SSED. Can only imagine how it would have been if we had won. Oddest thing is ever seen, and I've been to Morgantown. No doubt contributes to my view that Toledo OH is the sh*ttiest sh*thole on the planet and i laughed my tuchas off when their water was massively polluted. Other than State College nobody deserves a deadly epidemic more.

va tech fans seem to be genuinely nice people. they travel in waves, I recall a game at Heinz where it was Saturday night and all of Mt. Washington was hokie fans as early as Thursday. we beat them and all their fans are congratulating me after the game in the parking lots. im trying to get back to my tailgate spot to get after it a bit with the remaining beer and these fans are stopping me, telling me how great I did. I was like "thanks guys, I did my best."

Utah fans were like that at fiesta bowl. Im drinking, trying to talk smack, throwing out all kinds of chants about them having two wives and how polygamy is a sin and they are wishing me luck.. kind of takes the fun out of mocking their faith, when they are nice to you.

I think I was at that game (I am thinking that was the game we plastered them in 2001 unexpectedly) and I was at Mt. Washington with a bunch of VT fans who were my friends.

lol, yeah, it was post vick, grant noel days. think that started or ended our walt harris spread disaster.. I lived up there at the time and saw a ton of hokie fans walking on Grandview. I'd say it was annoying but they were all nice.. the opposite of Nebraska fans. they came in droves in '04, was at station square, all you saw was red. they were obnoxious though.

I met some fun Southern Mississippi fans on new years eve on Beale street in Memphis during the 97 Liberty Bowl. Of course they had handily kicked our tail so in a good mood, and we were just happy to be there that year, so not too bummed.
