C'mon man. I this guy is a PSU'er, but he hasn't been hostile and there is no need to attack his family.
I don't think the things you brag about are "gifts" to humanity, especially since you seem to want to brag about it. You didn't save any lives, defend anyone's freedom, or come up with a cure for a disease. Get over yourself, you are no better than anyone else. Particularly given he blindingly supports the football program proven to have assaulted so many children with Paterno's full knowledge and support. Then hired a replacement proven to have engineered coed rapes at Vanderbilt (then contacted and tried to silence one of the victims). And a sitting president active in the strongarming of Winston's victim at Florida State.
Such devotion is tantamount to each of these zealots assaulting those children and adult victims directly themselves. They gave the power these criminals needed to be able to perform their deeds with absolute impunity.
No matter how they've deluded themselves this is an unavoidable fact.

Its beyond silly sports rivalry crap. And not a "Pitt thing". We'd usually stink in sports whether they existed or not. Our problems are largely self imposed.
