Clemson Beats B10 Team to Win Championship

The ACC computer numbers are actually so far much better than I expected. Significantly, and I mean significantly better at the bottom of the league, as compared to last season. Better in the middle. Top is about the same.
Louisville killed the league the last couple years, but should be a lot better with a legitimate HC.

Last year the ACC ended up with three team with a Pomeroy ranking of 100 or higher, plus number 96. They were the only four teams not in the top 80.

So far this year the ACC has six teams with a Pomeroy ranking of 100 or higher, plus number 99.

That doesn't actually seem to be significantly better. In fact that doesn't seem to be better at all.

Some nice wins for Pitt tonight
Torvik had:
Redford as 6 pt dogs but they beat PFW by 13
Gardner Webb won by 4 - basically expected
Murray State won by 13 and better than expected
Eastern Kentucky with a road upset and bumped up 26 spots by Torvik

VMI was 11 pt dogs and was up by 11 in 2nd half but now tied:(

The lowest ranked ACC team in KenPom is VT at 128. Louisville was in the 200’s at the same juncture last year.

Well if you want to say that there is no team that is so bad that they are miles below everyone else, then yeah, sure.

But that's completely different than saying "significantly, and I mean significantly better at the bottom of the league, as compared to last season. Better in the middle. Top is about the same." Because if by "bottom of the league" you mean only one team, then that's kind of meaningless. But if you do mean it that way, then is the middle better because the one team exactly in the middle of the league is better than last year, and the top is the same because the best team in the league is similar to the best team in the league was last year? That would be pretty a really odd way to compare the overall strength of the conference.

Also note, at this point last year Louisville's Pomeroy ranking was not in the 200s. It was in the 150s. In fact when they played New Mexico State exactly one year ago today they were at 151. Which isn't all that different than Virginia Tech's 128. They did, however, get into the 200s by the middle of December.
