Big changes coming for ACC Basketball?

I think Steve Pederson becomes a better AD the longer he is removed from his tenure but mostly due to comparing him to the garbage that came after him. Pederson wasn't nearly as bad as Barnes and Gallagher

- resurrected Pitt football and basketball by hiring Walt and Howland. I dont want to hear that Sonny told him to hire Ben. He didn't have to.

- got the Pete built

- decision to fire Wanny was warranted even if some of us didn't agree. His biggest flaw was hiring Haywood and Graham.

- hired Dan Fisher which everyone forgets

He did not get the Pete built. He had as much input in that decision as you.

Or me

Didn’t Pitt beat them ?

How do you know what either school spent ?

Basic common sense. Pitt paid the ACC 6th Man of the Year, an almost All-freshman team guy, and ACC starting big in Corhen, and also good ACC role players. WVU paid 3rd Team All B12 Javon Small and then had a bunch of nobodies.

His biggest mistake was being born.
In hindsight, which is 20-20, SP bet all of his chips on the basketball horse, which has stumbled on the back stretch. Scotty Barnes and Heather decided to keep betting on the basketball horse despite the stumbling during the home stretch. Jamie almost jockeyed the horse home, but messed up coming around the third turn (the move to the ACC). Capel could not keep the horse from stumbliing its way home after Jamie slipped rounding the third turn. We keep the football horse in two barns that are on two different offsite ranches that are occupied and run by aging non-Pitt ranchers that used to produce champion thoroughbreds, but not any more. Call them both the Rooney Ranches. Thanks, Steve. Good job.

When you have the numbers call !

When you have the numbers call !

No one has the numbers. I use what's been reported for other teams and other players to have an understanding of the market. I think Pitt was paying around $2 million. What do you think they were paying $500K total?

Exactly !!!

I have no idea , but they didn’t have enough to add a quality shooter or rebounder .

So you mean to tell me that there was not a single better rebounder we could have had at Corhen's price point, which wasn't cheap.

Leave him alone, he's back to arguing himself in circles again.

I have no idea how much money Pitt has. I know for a fact that Pitt did not have enough money to bring in a good player. But I also have no idea how much money Pitt has. But I know that they did not have much at all. But I have no idea how much money they have. But I know that they don't have enough.

Around and around we go, and where we stop, well, probably the insane asylum!
