College BB is fluid and can change quickly. It is apparent that Coach Capel does not have the ability to put s competitive team on the court to compete in the ACC. It is time to cut ties and strategize going forward.

I hate to say this but I may end up rooting against Pitt just so he can be gone. He is somehow worse than Stallings.
I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt - thinking guys leaving are just because they are kids and they are unpredictable,
But c’mon, something is off when it’s almost everyone. This would be an NCAA tournament team if the recruits of the last 3 or 4 years made it to be upperclassmen.
We are great school in a P5 conference, a fairly recent elite stretch and good facilities. No reason for this. None.

We are a great school in a P5 conference with YMCA level talent…how Capel is still employed I have no clue
that's all he's done... our guys had such a strange offseason... gtfo.
This. When it was just Ryan Murphy who wanted out I didn't care. Even when Trey followed him I still thought maybe it was just them 2. But then Johnson and Toney left as well. Combine those defections with the fact that we can't even fill all of our scholarships and the only conclusion that you can come to is that the Coach just can't get players to buy in to his vision.
Let's not confuse Pitt with Duke, I don't believe it's capels fault, I believe these recruits just don't want to come to Pitt, no matter who the head coach is. How many 4 or 5 star recruits have signed with Pitt over the last 10 or 15 years? Not many!!!

Honestly, I don't know. He may not know either. Maybe that's why our roster is a Frankenstein's monster that lacks talent and depth, and we're seemingly bad at both the hustle and technical aspects of the game.
We've really struggled to build an identity under him.

I've never been an advocate of quickly firing a coach, however basketball is a sport in which a good coach can turn a team around in 2 yrs and be very good in 4 years. Well this year 4, no more excuses. The Capel experiment is over, he is not the man for the job.
You are right and I am not confusing Coach Capel with Coach K or Pitt with Duke. I do hold Coach Capel responsible for players wanting to transfer out or get into trouble.
But they are dying to go to Seton Hall, LSU, WVU, Virginia Tech, Alabama, etc? Nope. Just need someone who can recruit and get a little dirty.
Pitt's WOKE culture leadership will fight getting dirty because they don't care about winning at sports, they're actually embarrassed to be good at sports. Their proudest sports moment was putting EQUALITY on the back of the jersey and losing the game! They don't want to be accused of using ACC privilege to defeat lesser privileged teams, LOL
Just means that you need someone to lead the program that can actually coach and build a good team culture. That ain't Capel.
We just got drilled by THE CITADEL in year 4 of Capel’s tenure. They have had 1 winning season over the last 11 years and that high water mark was 13-12.
