From the people who “run it”, to the people who coach it, to the kids that play it.

Players: Every year players opt out of games, want to red shirt, transfer, re-negotiate NIL money, act like jackasses on the field, and God forbid if you raise your voice at them or demote them! They’ll pout and quit and go to the transfer portal immediately. Above they need to protect their “brand”. They have free agency every year.

Coaches: At times they act worse than players. They jump up and down when a call doesn’t go their way. They get in other players faces or push opposing players (Kirby “ain’t” Smart). They leave for more money just like the players do.

Disciple in non-existent. If they disciple the players, the players get upset and want to leave. So, they run amok. Today there were two incidents where players tried to plant flags on the 50-yard line that caused two fights. Wanna bet the players involved won’t get discipled? Coaches need to teach sportsmanship and learn to grow up.

The People who run it: It’s all about the money, period. Conference heads want more revenue, the schools want more revenue. But who pays? The boosters, the donors and most of all the fans.

A sad state of affairs indeed.

Athletics don't pay for shiny new academic buildings. For quite a while, no revenue from athletics goes towards anything but athletics at any school. If anything, at most schools it sucks resources from the academic side, not vice versa.

Yeah it’s highly entertaining now for mostly fans of blue bloods with giant resources or others with no real tie. For others it’s getting closer to becoming highly entertaining like a Pirate fan.

the college game is still more entertaining than the NFL.. Given the choice of watching the steelers-bengals or Alabama-Auburn it would be roll tide every day.

Do you know any “professors”

I know a lot.. like many… haven’t ever heard one claim they want “shiny new buildings”… lol

Not only that their careers have no connection or correlation to football… unless they happen to be fans and then it’s the same fanboy connection anyone else has.

Having said that … I agree with much of the rest for sure

I'm a Pitt fan and I thoroughly enjoyed many other games this weekend and throughout the season. The UGA-GT game was particularly fun to watch. College football is entertaining because it can be so unpredictable. Such is the way when dealing with 18-22 year-old kids.

The only part of the games that I don't like is the incompetent refereeing, such as we saw cost GT that game.
