Almost a given but not announced we all know the color change probably will happen next year. I just wanted to say i am actually happy with how the university and Nike handled it. I am one those weird people who like to match the team which color they are wearing... and having 2-3 years of knowing about a change gave me time to shop for the color change at a nice pace. They could have just went changed colors one off season quickly and then expect everyone to hurry and scramble to spend money to buy new apparel..but having the team wear throwbacks 4 times a year while selling the both brands in my mind was not only good for the fans but smart move as a whole. Very impressed with the handling of this. I know I'll hear lot backlash colors aren't true and arguing over who cares.. care about the game tomorrow, but for how things have been run at Pitt since 97 with all the changes, I just wanted to show a little thankfulness of how well it was thought out and put into place.

Smurf blue and yellow.
I don't mind the smurf blue but its not a color we ever wore if that matters. Dont like yellow. That's Steelers and WVU. Woulda gone mustard

The yellow matches the seats. I don't necessarily like it, but for that reason (and the obvious reality that we'd rarely fill every seat), yellow should have been used since Day 1 of our time in. Heinz.
The blue color doesn't matter in the least in this model, unless the Steelers would happen to someday put in a section of seats with the blue from one hypocycloid in their logo.
That isn't likely of course. So the "good news" is that if you don't like the blue they choose, in 3 years or so they'll likely change it, for the usual reasons (to distract from mediocre teams; and to jump start waning merchandise sales).
