Not really. Why disrupt recruiting during the early Signing Period?
Perhaps but maybe he was responsible for some recruits. Yet another sketchy part of the business but maybe he had to wait for a few kids to sign. I don’t know that to be the case - but certainly possible.
Well, we lost out on several big defense recruits. It seems as if Narduzzi does the heavy lifting on recruiting. Which is fine, but sure nice to have the coaches get their own recruits too, and have Narduzzi putt them in. The defense itself was improving greatly, but just recruiting I think got the guy the axe.
Good guy though, and wish him well. I still like bringing Cam Saddler or Dickerson in to coach

Scott Shafer as the new DC is a good possibility.

As long as he would never, ever, ever, ever be considered for the head coaching position at Pitt if Narduzzi would leave. Guy looked like a buffoon on the sideline at Syracuse.
Come on... 2 things happen... you do great and leave for a promotion, or do bad and get fired. I dont think he hangs around looking for a promotion to HC at Pitt.
I think Scott Shafer is likely to happen. They also have another coach to hire, which I hope they use on a young recruiter.

Good for Conklin. After the poor recruiting, looking for a nice small school to go to is the good thing to do. I know Narduzzi loved the guy, and even though Wofford is a college of only under 2000 students, it would be a good chance for him to get his feet wet in head coaching
