If Clemson were to get upset tomorrow but beat Miami next week, both will have two losses and neither would have a good argument for inclusion.
Miami locks up a bid with a win over Clemson. They'd 11-1.
Clemson probably goes at 11-2 if they lose to SoCar and beat Miami. They have to get to 4 somehow

So you still think a 1 loss Miami gets in over a 1 loss Alabama?
Yes.
Alabama's schedule was too weak. Alabama's best wins would be over LSU and Miss St. Miami would have wins over Clem and ND. Not even close.

In your mind sure, but in reality there is very little chance a 1 loss Alabama gets left out.
The only way it happens is if Wisconsin, Clemson, and Oklahoma all win and Georgia is the SEC Champ. Even then I guarantee Georgia fans would be sweating it out mightily on selection day.
Most likely, if Clemson wins, the ACC champ is in though.
