He left 12 seconds run off the clock at the end. Should have called a TO. Terrible clock management.

He left about 10 seconds run off the clock at the end. Should have called a TO. Terrible clock management.
WV had a running clock. They would have had 36 secs on the clock if Holgy called a TO. Instead the snap came off at 24 secs. Horrible job by Holgy. They still would have had a TO. At the end of the game they would have had an extra 2 plays.Duzz did the same in the first half.

Not the bar parts. They'd go bankrupt. They had two timeouts and I was wondering why he didn’t use one during the drive. Could have saved him 10 seconds easily
Of course this is why Holgerson will get crucified by the fans and the media. That two point conversion against Texas bought him nothing but some good press for two or three days
I bet the casinos in West Virginia will ban him for a month
I think the last time I saw that might have been the Steelers Chargers AFC championship game (circa 93?). And the play they got out of it was a crappy dump off to Barry Foster that had no prayer of working. He got to call 2 timeouts though before the last play lol.

Dana is a clown and he makes 4 million a year , and his hair looks worse than any of ours!
Yeah the ‘94 AFC Championship. I don’t really remember it but I’ve seen the highlights (if that’s what you even call it) of that 4th down play countless times on tv.I think the last time I saw that might have been the Steelers Chargers AFC championship game (circa 93?). Which is why I always say HC's should not manage the clock. They should have a designated clock mgmt specialist next to them at the end, doing the quick math.

Have said this for years, many coaches at both the collegiate and pro levels don’t really know how to do it.
I think within a decade you will see teams hiring clock management specialists.
You dont need a "specialist," just have an intern or GA do it. Honestly, I am super good at it, better than just about all HC's. It just takes basic math skills and the ability to think a play ahead. HC's have too much else going on
He will drop a couple large first, then they will ban him. They had two timeouts and I was wondering why he didn’t use one during the drive. Could have saved him 10 seconds easily

I thought this thread was gonna be about his sweet hair and awesome coaching moves.
Not many clocks in WV kinda a new tech device for Holgy. He left 12 seconds run off the clock at the end. Should have called a TO. Terrible clock management.
I agree with the mismanagement of the clock cost Wvu the game.If we had 15 more seconds we probably win the darn game.In the Big 12 15 seconds is huge.Remember you heard it here first Wvu beats Oklahoma Friday in Motown.Call your local bookie and get some extra money for Christmas, thank me later.By the way I drink Natty Lite if you want to reward me for the tip.

Never trust ANYONE that drinks Natty Lite!
The fact you are a hilljack proves my point!
Mike McIntyre was (deservedly) fired today, and you’re already seeing Holgerson’s name popping up for the Colorado job.
08 I have two sons in their 30's and thats what they drink.Their whole softball team drinks it.It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Holgy left.He never really fit into the Morgantown culture, few do.But with Grier leaving, defensive problems and him blowing up on his OC yesterday,I think he'll test the waters. His son's a senior this year so he won't have to change HS.The time might be right to get out of Dodge for him.I've never been a fan of his JC-Transfer recruiting strategy but it's worked OK for us.In the grand scheme of things I doubt Wvu can get someone better,so I hope he stays.Rich Rods looking for a job,now there's another story!Damn man Natty Light would be a little hard to stomach for me these days.
You see those Holgerson to Colorado rumors?

I'm with you on this,I thought he would be in contention for the PAC 12 crown every year, wrong again.Rich has had off the field problems everywhere he's been in including Glenville State.Oh well I guess we all have problems.Rich Rods lack of success at Arizona really, really surprised me. I thought that would be the perfect gig for him. Obviously he had problems off the field as well, but I thought he would win big there.
