interesting to see if they get involved as well with this.

They won't. Most of this happened in the Big East. Plus, with the hammer getting ready to drop on UNC, no way do they want to set a precedent that will force them to do any damage to one of the flagships. This is especially true with Duke possibly being in hot water over player misconduct.

Interesting to me that the UNC thing has been going on in FB and BB for a long time and nothing has happened yet Syracuse gets the hammer in a pretty short window. Also Coach K is seeming to get a pass along with Franklin from Penn State and even Winston from Florida State. This is why the NCAA is such a complete joke of an organization. Thousands of pages of really out-dated bullshit rules with only a few being enforced on who they want. There truly is no equal playing field for everybody.

The Cuse infractions go back a long way, and I believe were all

self-reported in the last couple of years....though I'd bet the school sat on stuff hoping it'd go undiscovered.

These are pretty strict penalties. Might hasten Boeheim's retirement.

Wait, what?

"A pretty short window"? The investigation of Syracuse has been going on for literally a decade. It started in late 2004. Syracuse first self-reported violations in 2007. I mean I guess if you are talking in a cosmic sense a decade is a pretty short window, but even in the slow motion practices of the NCAA a decade-long investigation before sanctions is about as long a window as you'll ever see.
