Yeah I agree with the young promising coach part, but I think Lyke will go towards a more proven commodity than you or I might. I want someone who wants the Kentucky job eventually.

Richie Riley has a little more experience. Lyke needs to keep a close eye on how he does this year.

English - He is from MD, played at NE Prep, D1 player, drafted, played overseas, assistant under good head coaches, good connections, good staff, and good recruiter. The guy has coaching superstar written all over him. I also love a coach that can get out on the court and demonstrate first hand what they want done. Heck - he would still be the best player we had on the court. 🙂

Miller and Pitino offer the best immediate ROI. They would increase ticket sales and come relatively cheap. As far as Pitino goes, I wouldn't be shocked if he "Musselman'd" the portal and made the NCAAT in Year 1 or 2. But the Pitt Basketball HC requires a person of better moral character than the POTUS

Which is why I hate when people say Coach X isnt a fit at Team Y because of what amounts to morals. There are no morals anymore. Elected leaders are some of the trashiest people on Earth. Can we just hire a guy that will win? And let's be honest, I am sure Pitino is actually a pretty good dude who treats his players well. He just got caught doing something many people do and the assistant paying strippers, who cares. The Pitt wrestling team had a similar "scandal" a few years ago. People do that type of sh!t.
