The point is, the donors will start to put even more stipulations on the money they invest. There's 2 types of GM's
1. The GM who is the boss of the HC and reports to the AD. This is Andrew Luck.
2. The GM who the HC hires and is more of just a consultant. This is most current GM's.
I think that has always been true to some extent. Stakes are higher and there's a lot more money in the game so groups of donors are working together, now. That's probably the difference. The point is, the donors will start to put even more stipulations on the money they invest.
Even at Pitt, you have Pelusi vs the BOT’s. It will only get worse.
Who is to say that a donor isn't promising a kid playing time and then leaning on the coach over it? I think some of these people donate huge money and do big NIL deals just for clout. I can think of better ways of blowing my money but these guys are standing on the sidelines and are in the locker room (Miami comes to mind).if im financing a big part of a recruiting class, i think i'd want a say in who plays..
i agree and i said that Strong in Texas said this exact same thing is happening..Who is to say that a donor isn't promising a kid playing time and then leaning on the coach over it?
