What I couldn't understand is that they had to inbound the ball so many times, and I don't remember any one of those inbounds being particularly difficult. You would think the law of averages would have worked in our favor at least once or twice. But a few times we just let them do it. And a few other times they seemed to hit their first option pretty easily.
I admit that Pitt basketball games are more background noise than anything these days, so apologies if I'm forgetting a play where we actually made it difficult for them. But it kind of felt like we hadn't worked on defending an inbound in practice in hopes of achieving a steal. Maybe we were too busy mastering our free throw shooting.
