True enough but he's not going to own ACC teams if he doesn't score big in recruiting WPA.....or some in PA as a whole.
He needs to do both. Short term though, owning PSU on the field is most important. If he does that, good things will follow.
Overall, in my opinion there needs to be less talk about Franklin and more talk about our team on this board. Way to many Franklin threads. Just my two cents.
Spot on. Narduzzi can sell himself and this program on results from his short time at PITT, along with the other programs he has been a part of. As he continues to prove that he is an excellent coach on the field, more high-end recruits will follow.

What is a joy to watch is how the Penn State BWI Posters brag about their Recruits on their Boards every year, and how much better they always are, and then make comparisons by putting down Pitt and other recruits they did not attract or rejected Penn State.
As last night, a few got upset that Pitt's Narduzzi got Watts over turning down Franklin's offer, then decided to mock Linebacker Reynold's picking Pitt, LOL!!!
So, all of sudden some PSU BWI posted how Watts is not really a Four Star Recruit but the PSU Recruits they got are rated higher by other Recruiting Rankings???
Later say try to argue that when their recruits turn out to be NCAA & NFL Busts, it is not important how these the Pitt Recruits and Players end up doing way better in the NCAA & NFL???
So, these same really stupid (No Other Way to Say It!) BWI Penn State Posters count Recruiting Rankings more than NCAA & NFL Players of the Year Awards, Records in NCAA & NFL, Hall of Fames Accomplishment of Autumn that is a far more reliable measurement of all Football Players everywhere All Time, and the Penn State Recruits with all those High Recruiting Rankings end up not playing at Penn State, and NFL Busts, LOL!!!!
At the same time, they cry when a High School Recruit as soon as they choose MSU, Michigan, and OSU or Pitt, all of sudden are not any good and overrated, then come over here and say that it is unimportant when they set records and perform better?

I agree with Vegas there should be more talk about Pitt and it's recruits and not Franklin and PSU. The best way to piss somebody off is to ignore them. I always shake my head when comes to people complaining about all those PSU threads. The loudest complainers are the nitters themselves.
I'll get down to basics.... PSU & WVU are our rivals. Whatever they do on or off the field is of great importance to Pitt. It can affect them directly or indirectly, especially recruiting.
Obviously lots of people are discussing PSU on the recruiting trail, or there wouldn't be players decommitting.
Coaches go to recruits houses to sell their school. However they also talk about the school they are competing with for the player's services. Should they be told to shut up and only discuss their school when speaking to a recruit? If it were up to James Franklin, he would be all for it.
