Factors needed to win tonight

1. We need to get the loose balls. We seem to many times swatting a ball around and not simply being the first one to grab the ball
2. Inside guys need to stay out of foul trouble. Their biggs need to be double teamed by our guards and force passes outside to their mediocre 3 point scorers
3. Foul shooting period
4. Lots of penetration and force their guys inside to foul
5. Few turnovers
6. Will Federico Federico play

Outrebound MSU, or at least neutralize their rebounding advantage.
Fede not expected to play. That is a huge blow.
Develop and maintain a huge double digit lead on them. MSU isn't the type of team used to comebacks.
Play some defense for a change. We haven't done that for the last 4 or 5 games.

Without Fede, we will have to trade their inside against our 3 point shooters. When this team is hitting their 3s they are hard to beat.

We can’t suddenly be something we aren’t. Especially without our only real 5 man.
We’re gonna get beat up on the boards. The key will be to make our shots. That will be a tall order against one of the best FG percentage defenses in the country. Free throws too. Can’t leave many points at the line.

I think you will see Pitt run their 1-2-2 (3/4 court) press back into a 2-3 zone. Mississippi does not shoot it well. This will take time off the shot clock and keep Pitt out of foul trouble since they are down a body.
