Saw her in a private concert the same week as Lana del Ray. She was fantastic live. I have video of my husband jumping up and down and if you knew him you'd realize how out of character it is for him. And btw - 50? Yikes. She's my hero.

I like Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson was a pretty good singer herself when she was lead. These Dreams is a pretty great piece of 80s pop.

Yes, Aretha could sing. I thought she screamed it out oo much but put her on the list too. But Judith Durham had a quality to her voice unmatched IMO.

And Emmylou is the GOAT in her genre.
