Sadly, my interest in Pitt FB recruiting has waned since Narduzzi and his immediate predecessors haven't seemed to be able to recruit enough talent to transform the team into one that wins 9-10 or more games regularly. The 8-win ceiling since Wannstadt was let go has finally caught up with me and I have lost all optimism this year about Pitt football.

Maybe things will change for me if by some miracle we get a 9 or 10 win season soon. I have no interest in being a fan of a team with a 7-8 win ceiling.

Guess I got too spoiled by the Majors I & Sherrill era and been hoping ever since that each new coach will finally be getting us back to being a perennially ranked team—even if not all the way to being a legit contender for all the marbles. Achieving far less than that year after year after year is just becoming increasingly disappointing.

And, I have been spending less and less time on this board as a result.

Maybe we can return to being a perennial top 25 basketball program if it has become impossible in football?

Pat tweet with no name?? The secrecy of the Narduzzi program does nothing to enhance it. The secrecy of the off season scrimmages is another example of this. Would it help opposing coaches that Sibley ran the ball 11 times in a scrimmage for 50 yards??? Fans however want to know this. On numerous occasions I WALKED into Wanny’s practices. He even came up and shook my hand and thanked me for coming. Pat thinks football is rocket science. He makes it hard for fans.

I agree and that’s why I suggested a “peak signal” for when we have an actual name. Pat signals are telling us there is a verbal but we don’t get the name for days (sometimes weeks) later.
