Forget COVID

I don’t see how they’re even in the ballpark in terms of comparisons. Knight was a freshmen. Horton is a junior who practiced with the team all last year.
His comparison was akin to asking a woman who was better in bed: Johnny sins or a 16 year old virgin

I don’t need to root against him. It’s painfully obvious he’s not nearly as good as Capel made him out to be and this whole board bought Capel’s act. Can’t wait to hear how good Nike is all season!
I saw Micheal Jordon play one game in person as a Bull and he went 3/16 from the field , let’s give the kid a chance before burying him .

Another solid comparison. You know I don’t really care if his shot is falling, that’s gonna be inconsistent. But to be the worst defender on the court with 9 NEC guys is inexcusable.

Horton can shoot. I'm 100% sure of that.
He should've been letting it fly from deep early. They were letting him open from a range he can hit. But as i was concerned he probably is terrible on defense. So if he aint letting it fly then he's useless. He'll get there on offense but he might have trouble getting big minutes if he's a liability on D.
You couldn't really tell how much of a liability he was against SF because his performance was the norm for the whole team.

Let’s see if this is a constant occurrence , maybe he had some physical issues not disclosed .

You don’t know if he was slowed by injury , if he was that bad defensively in practice he wouldn’t be starting now would he ?
If he was slowed by an injury, why did they play him at all? This is complete conjecture on your part.

And they have to play him. They hyped him up as the best scorer in the ACC last season.

It's just what i noticed from watching him in Delaware. His defense wasn't great there.
I honestly don't understand why some players can't play D well. It's always confusing to me.
I'll never get it.
But like i said i know he can shoot well, with quick release and from deep. He has to let it fly.
He can't hold back.

Well there are some players with physical limitations, for instance not being quick enough to defend who they are asked to defend. But a lot of it comes down to playing good defense all the time is hard work. And many players, heck, many people, don't want to do hard work.

Of course it is , but I’m willing to let the kid play a few games before I make any judgement .
