I would rather see five walk-ons at this point. At least they would give a damn.
No one said rebounding is the only problem and surely it isn't anywhere near the main problem but it is a problem tonight and if it bothers you to read about the rebound numbers, simply ignore it.
You would swear Pitt is a team of marginal recruits and mid major retreads. Gulp.

James Robinson IS Tino Sunseri. Tino had a great interception ratio to completions as does JRob with Assist to TO's. But neither make plays. Neither can make big plays on their own. Might as well play Wilson.
JRob is SOFFT! SOFFFFT!! Waste of a 4 year starter. I want to see those "James Robinson Appreciation Threads" now. Those people who are doing that have forgot what a good, tough PG is like,. Brandin Knight would punch JRob in the mouth. Krauser would emasculate him repeatedly. Levance would prison rape him. JRob is Charmin.
Sorry for putting this all on one guy, cause no one is good today. But when your 4 year Senior PG cannot pull the team together again, well then he is worthless.
Maybe I was wrong. This team doesn't have it. The moment it hits adversity, it runs and hides. Jamie needs to go back and recruit tough thugs. Thugs. Suit up OLett and Brandin. They can't do worse. And Jamie's babying of his teams through ridiculous OOC schedules is also getting old. Again, when they are pushed, they hide.

The team is stinking. But it is not dumb. When you have a 4 year senior starter, at PG no less, those are the guys you need to navigate and settle teams down. He doesn't. He can't. He can't make plays. He is overmatched. Souf, what is worse, a couple of the NC State guys were his HS teammates, you would think he would rise up, not cower, that he would be comfortable.
I though this would be JRob's team, and he would grow with that role. He isn't. He is making me long for Travon Woodall, and that ain't good. Gimme that NYC PG.
I am not making excuses, he just isn't very good; if Dixon repeatedly plays someone who isn't that good then the buck stops with him.
Not dumb at all. Robinson is great at passing. That's it. He has done nothing at Pitt in 4 years to think otherwise. He is slow, can't create, can't shoot, etc... It all starts with him.
It is, it's a team game.
Hard to facilitate when we missed more layups than ncsu missed jumpers.
