On Hugley, sure.

On Dior Jihnson, no chance ever. Take his name off the site and banish him back home

It still bothers me that Pitt keeps his name up on the roster and on this site. He's a felon, or at least accused of a felony, and shouldn't even be in school. But we know how those charges are reduced or dismissed for the babied athletes.

why? because Pitt has been without 2 of it's best players and that doesn't fit ur narrative? Old head grows beer muscles on a message board lol

So instead of winning 8 or 9 games without those guys we win 10 or 11. Oh, that should help!!

And possibly for an innocent student. Dior is NOT a felon at this time. Why does it bother you so much? Do you have some personal agenda against this young man?

I’m not confident either way. I will root hard for them to lose if he is back.

The more I’ve learned, the less I’d like him to rep Pitt to give us 14 wins and the capel brothers another year. Would be much more admirable being fired for sucking than letting people like that play at Pitt

yeah, that’s basically what I’m asking

Are you saying this because of publicly available info that we all have or stuff you’ve heard behind the scenes

I said he was accused of a felony, didn't I? Young man? He's a freakin' kid!

I don't want any kid that gets himself involved in those types of situations on a Pitt team. I don't have anything against him personally. If he's found not guilty (not innocent), it will be because of some nonsense with plea deals that's typical with these jocks. I hope that someday, Pitt recruits more players of character, not players who get into trouble so much. This makes Pitt look bad.

I'll bet you right now we win more than 9 total games this year

Only fools bet some anonymous schlub on a message board. I don't do that. But if Pitt gets to 9 total wins this year, I'd be very surprised. With a different coach, they could get to 12 or 15 wins, even with this roster. And if they can somehow to more than 10 wins total, I'll buy my wife a nice dinner at Senti.

Not publicly available info

Gotcha. I personally am going to cheer for him to come back solely for my own sanity as someone who is going to watch these games (and is not fully confident we’ll pull the trigger on the buyout after this year)… not to mention that plenty of college and pro athletes have still played afrer similar or worse events.

But I don’t have the background info so it’s easier for me to just hope either it wasn’t true or it was a 1 time thing rather than maybe he’s truly a terrible human (which may be the case)

1) you should always treat your wife. You'll buy her a nice dinner if something happens that you don't think is likely? Not a great look by you.

2) take the bet if you're so confident. It'll be easy money for you. Only fools pass up free money.

I always treat my wife. I just did a couple of weeks ago at Senti and also last weekend. She's the most important part of my life.

Sports isn't worth betting on for me. It's just entertainment and it passes the time, if I'm not doing something else. That's another reason I don't bet on it. If I did, I'd be too invested in something that really doesn't matter.

How do U know he is not innocent,?

How do U know he is not innocent,?

How do you know he's not guilty?

I was trying to distinguish between the terms not guilty and innocent. They are different. Just because he MIGHT be found not guilty doesn't mean he's innocent. And none of us will ever know if he did what he was accused of.

No matter the outcome, a smart kid doesn't get himself into these situations. I won't be able to root for him if he's in a Pitt uniform. I hope that never happens. It's a character issue.

So you are likewise rooting against the football team , right ?

Yet you contort yourself into pretzels when it comes to politicians who are far less moral

I have not stated that he is "not guilty". You have stated that he is guilty with no actual facts to back your opinion. He may be guilty and if he is, he should be gone. That part we can agree on.

Meh, I haven’t watched much of the football team this year. Slovis has been excruciating to watch
So let’s just say Dior’s status has nothing to do with your moral indignation -
But more because if he returns we may win enough to save Capel’s job -
Which is really your incentive

Ok.

He wouldn’t change their record significantly. There just isn’t much talent around him anyways. But ok.

Bingo …pay the man !

If the felony charges are dropped there’s no question the kid should get every opportunity to play , and those adults on here that are actively attacking this kid based on information that they won’t disclose or what’s publicly out there should be embarrassed at such judgmental behavior.

Listen I want Capel gone too
But I’m willing to have a star player Carry a season / because it’s better than the crap we’ve been watching for years

We all want a change , but rejoicing in their failure is just too much .

Not wanting to watch a kid with his skills makes you wonder what someone’s agenda is .

Odds of us watching in a pitt jersey are long
Let’s be honest

Yes, a kid with anger issues, who probably needs to be in counseling, that went to 10 high schools will be the saving grace of Jeffrey Capel. It was predictable DJ wouldn’t finish the season in a Pitt uni, not even starting it was not.

With very little practice time under his belt, which 24 year old guard is he removing from the lineup who will certainly not divide the team in that situation, Dr?

This team will only lose with Nelly as starting pg . He needs to be the backup at this level .

Losing is what destroys team chemistry .

I don’t know the kid or his background other than what’s been reported , he might be so maladjusted that he can’t succeed anywhere , but I won’t presume any of us really know the kid and his personal circumstances, so I won’t judge . If the felony charges are dropped he deserves a chance if not he doesn’t .

Yes, telling Nelly he was gonna be the starting PG, landing Dior Johnson, losing Dior Johnson for a suspension then subsequently benching Nelly for a kid 5 years younger who hasn’t practiced will go over swimmingly. Have you ever even been a part of a team?

Eh. I get what you are saying but I don’t think Dior’s return would squeeze anybody out of the rotation (guard wise) and think it’d make life easier for Elliott, Nelly, and Nike… plus would make them lose less.

So unless he’s a conplete asshole I think it’d be a net positive on the locker room

I also refuse to believe Nelly is more mentally unstable than someone like Carl Krauser lol
