i guess even if you back into a Coastal title or win some goofy tie breaker, it’s still a trophy.

Yep. Pitt can easily win the last 5. Easily lose the last 5 too.
My prediction. Win like 2.
Wish Pitt could turn that corner.

I don't think you get a trophy. I guess you could hang a banner? Obviously, though, it isn't going to happen, despite the fact our division is really bad.

Pickett has been a dissapointment. Actually not really. Most of us where fooled by 1 game last season.
Soo sick of Pitt winning 1 lousy game and it always going to there heads. Pitt could never win 5 in a row.

Walt Harris and Dave Wannstedt won 5 games in a row. It wasn’t all that long ago.

I remember David Priestlay being 1-5 , and them winning that season and Ill never forget losing $ on a 9-1 Pitt team at WVU .
I was talking about this team .
Narduzzi was 6-1 in his first year too.

I think conferences are ruined by not playing each team once every year.
They are too damn big .

The B10 has multiple teams going for a playoff slot. Makes a ton of money for each school. Has great attendance across the board.

They’re legit and blow the ACC away.

Multiple teams? They have Michigan and Ohio St I guess. After they play each other the loser is out, so actually they only have one team going for a playoff spot.

And if Michigan loses to Penn St and then beats OSU the Big Ten gets shut out of the playoff entirely.

Nice try though.

Every year they have 2 teams right there in the hunt. OSU, UM, PSU, Wisconsin are always knocking at the door and sitting in the top 15.

College sports is ALL about perception. You can write a book with your stats about this and that....what does the media think, what do the polls think, what do the TV markets think, what do the fans think, what does the money think. That’s college sports.

In other words the Big 10 is more hype than substance, and that is perpetuated by all the Big 10 shills in the media and its diploma mill alums.

Right, and perception is why Alabama easily got in over Ohio St last year. No one was surprised other than Big 10 fans. They are stupid for not having realized what the pecking order is nationally. Same goes for Ohio St getting in over Penn St the year before, like it or not those 2 programs are on totally different levels.

The fact remains that the Big 10 could very easily get left out of the playoffs again this year.

All those big 10 teams did well in last year playoffs. Oh wait....

I think it's been 3 years since a big 10 team even scored a td in the playoffs.

no backing in or goofy tie breaker required..all Pitt has to do is win their remaining coastal games...no help (including last night--Miami's loss irrelevant as was VT's) needed...
