Gonzaga has played their way in, and St. Mary's might be a bid-stealer

Unlike some of their previous teams Gonzaga is playing their best basketball at the right time of the year.

Maybe I'm a little biased because I see them play so much, but I see this St Mary's team as a little better than prior years. I realize Vitale overhyped it, but they really do spread the floor well and play great team basketball. As always they are supremely well coached.

At halftime, Lunardi said they would not be in. Look at their schedule - they played no one all year except Stanford and Cal, and they lost to Cal. The one thing a mid-major must do is to challenge themselves in the OOC and St Mary's failed at that. They have no chance in a blind resume test.

Also, all of these teams look good in their conference tourneys, but that's because they are playing against teams of their own caliber. Just like the players that have been mentioned as guys who could have helped Pitt, if you throw them into an ACC level game, most of them would look like mid-major teams and players, not ACC stars.

The WCC getting two teams is bad for high-major bubble teams.
Number one bracket guy has them out still, along with Monmouth. Valpo is not going. Looks like everyone is aware of that now.

Only thing that has mattered for Pitt so far is Wichita losing, which would only matter in that it would be competition for Dayton if Pitt loses themselves.

Need Florida and Michigan to lose.
