Good article that will bring back memories

Thanks for posting and I ALWAYS love history threads of ANY kind.

But this article is absolutely and completely SILLY to put the CBI year in any list whatsoever. In all ways, shapes and forms, that season was COMPLETELY disappointing, and the only thing SURPRISING about it was how bad it was compared to expectations. We entered that season as a top 15 team and ended up in CBI. It was only surprising because of how surprisingly bad it was.

I've been a rabid fan since 1980-1981 and the most "surprising good" seasons look like this ...

10. 2012-2013 - Adams turns a bad CBI team into a top 25 type team.
9. 1981-1982 -- Clancy leaves but Clyde takes over on the way to the NCAA's.
8. 1992-1993 -- Not many thought an NIT team could become an NCAA team without Miller.
7. 1984-1985 -- Freshman Smith and Gore and the NCAA's
6. 2000-2001 -- The Big East Tournament run was special
5. 2013-2014 -- A better team without Adams and Woodall and Durand to injury
4. 2005-2006 -- They find a way to a five seed without Taft and Troutman
3. 2003-2004 -- we thought we'd be OK, but a great team without Knight, Z and O was not expected.
1A. -- 2001-2002 - All American Knight makes all the difference
1. 2009-2010 -- 3 seed after losing Blair, Young and Fields, a 3 seed is incredible.

Agree with your #1, lost Biggs too.

BR is by definition silly, so I took the good with the silly.

BR is by definition silly, do I took the good with the silly.

My guess is that this guy got $25 bucks to write this article for Bleacher Report but myself or @Harve74 would have done a much better job for free.
