Great Win !! Down by double digits and comes back for win. Xavier, Trey played great.
Yeah on the pay board I think there was a thread about the key to the season. I picked McGowens, because as he goes, we goes. He is that difference maker. When he plays well, it takes us to another level.
He’s so athletic and talented on both ends
Obviously we need Toney back. That said, I hope Capel works in Drumgoole and Coulibaly as much as possible. Depth will be key for us against alot of teams. We will need minutes out of these two here and there. Even 5-8 minutes a game could be huge as long as they don't hurt us. They haven't given us anything yet, so they need to work there behinds off in practice.
Being a Duke guy winning at the Dean Done and denying Roy the W that would have passed chain smoking Smith had to be sweet for Capel.
Add in the mix his contract extension and his first 5 star recruit having played on that floor and then sitting in the stands watching his future team come from behind.

That's really not true about Souf at all, or even really SMF for that matter. Souf's a classic contrarian but he's all always been positive when positive is due.
Hell - in hoops my contrarian is usually to quell the negative narrative - through the years .
Except with stallings - because that shit show needed all the negativity it could to force the issue
It's so hard to do anything but really, really like him. Here's hoping he can have the success needed to keep him here for a very long time.

Goosebumps. I don’t care how down NC is, this is epic. Been following Pitt basketball since the Roy Chipman Eastern Eight days, so I understand how this game looked do-able on paper, but way tougher in real life. So proud and happy.
Feels good to beat them in football AND basketball.
