Because they are OSU and in the Big. The Big gets votes because they are the Big not because they are deserving. If OSU was not in the Big they would not have even been in the playoff last year, by rights they should not have been. They look horrible for the 3rd straight week
Agree with all of that but I also think when it's all said said and done at the end of the year Alabama and LSU are the teams to beat. Can't see Utah or Baylor fairing very well against those teams because they would not be able to run the ball. Utah QB Wilson might be the most overrated player in the country and at the end of the day is not much of a passer. He wouldn't findi muck running room against Bama or LSU. On the other side of the LOS the LSU and Bama O lines would be unlike anyhing Baylor and the Utes have seen, and Fournette is easily the best RB in the country. Only weaknesses for each are the QBs, but with Bama at least, Coker is getting better.Based on actual body of work from this season, the only intelligent choices for #1 right now are Utah and Baylor. Utah just made the nation's best pocket passer (Goff of Cal, previously 5-0) look like a turnover machine. They have been the only team to absolutely abuse Oregon's lack of a real back-up QB (Michigan State and Washington State just squeaked by the Ducks). They won in Michigan by a TD but it was never really that close, and they dropped 24 on the Wolverines who then held their next 5 opponents to 14 points total. Baylor has absolutely wrecked everyone, including Texas Tech. No other team has a resume that can touch these two.
