The Pitt and USC games are punishment for Jo Pa's many sins. Like the Greek mythological character, Sisyphus, who repeatedly pushed a rock almost to the top of the hill only to have it always roll to the bottom, -- Satan opened a special window in Hell for Jo Pa to watch the Pitt and USC games. He could almost feel victory for his corrupt program and then it was suddenly taken away. KARMA!!!!
Very exciting game. Incredible offensive output from Penn State. Better offensive output by USC. That said, the PSU D was suspect again. Wisconsin put 31 on them, Pitt put 42, USC put up 52 (the most the Trojans scored in a game this season), Michigan put up 49, Indiana put 31. PSU certainly has talent on the D but it hasn't fared well defensively v. teams with a decent offense.
Yep. So nice to see the nitters all gleeful one second, then turned to sadness and disbelief the next. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving fan base. Where are all the fake troll accounts now? Certainly after the season they had they still have stuff to brag about, why have they stopped invading our board? I almost want to go to bwi to see the inbreds at their finest, but going there is always a bad idea.
I'd rather have them lose a nail biter and then get terrible food poisoning on the plane ride home from the doggy bag leftovers from the bender Joey Julius went on at the News Years Eve Golden Corral buffet extravaganza in LA....but that is just me.
4 pages of replies herein and I didn't read all of them. So it may have already been discussed but I'd disagree with the OP. I'd agree with the concept if this was a CFP playoff game that prevented them from moving on or advancing to the next game. But it's just the last game of the season and ends up being a game everyone is praising. Whether you're a PSU player, coach or fan, the hard fought and exciting game has to give them more satisfaction and less disappointment then if they would have got blown out like OSU. It also gives them some validation to throw back at doubters or critics whereas, if they get blown out, it just adds more fuel to the doubters and critics. I would have preferred to see them get beat up pretty bad to add that fuel to the fire.
nah, no way. Was more than just a last game. Were on the verge and ready to rain down Armageddon here and everywhere until next season when up 14 with 8m to go that they overcame ncaa unduly gutting them, Joe getting pissed on, the committee screwing them, the sanctions, the suspensions, playing in a basically away game etc etc. The 17-0 4th qtr disintegration changed that whole dynamic.
