Is Matt Canada still unemployed?

Whipped could have likely matched output with that offensive talent. It takes two to tango.

I hate this offense. It becomes very predictable as the game moves forward. Every defense so far seems to have 2nd-half Pitt figured out. Is it because they are all equally adept at making adjustments? Maybe our offensive predictability helps them out just a bit.

And for the record, I would take Canada at twice the salary over Whipple, in a heart beat.

Canada had a very talented QB for the scheme he was running. We haven’t had that quality of QB play since that season

Totally agree with this offense being so predictable. The only time it is not is when he throws in some kind of trick play. Reminds me of 1984 when Chuck Stobart was the OC and Congemi was the QB. He didn't have the strongest arm in the world but them kept rolling him out and having him throw across the other side of the field for 2-3 yard gains.

No I did not! I am not a fan of Canada either, like to a see a younger talent, Graham Harrell type, new wrinkles etc, not some 85 year old fired geezer. Works cheap i get it!

If they whiff on Urban Meyer would not be shocked to see Harrell get a shot at the USC job.

Matt Canada made that QB look talented, not the other way around.
Disagree. Peterman had impeccable timing. Peterman was accurate. Peterman didn’t stare down receivers. That’s not the scheme - that’s the guy executing the scheme.

Peterman is better than Pickett, but here's Peterman stats after Canada.

Canada made Peterman.

Career NFL statistics as of 2018
TDINT:
3–12
Completion percentage: 52.3
Passing yards: 548
Passer rating: 32.5

He’s one of the worst NFL QB’s I’ve ever seen that had multiple chances.

Was a damn good college QB though, especially for that one season.

Peterman was a good fit for Canada's offense. Often only made to make a single read, simple decision making, could move his feet. He wasn't asked to fade back and work through progressions 40 times a game.

I very much doubt that. Not as an indictment of Whipple so much as credit to Canada. The creativity, use of personnel and play calling was some of the best offensive coaching I’ve ever seen.

That said Whipple has one of the lowest scoring offenses in D1, so I don’t think he’s earned a whole lot of rope from Pitt fans so far.

Seriously? What does the NFL have to with Canada? Oh yeah, nothing.

Yeah you’ve pretty much screwed yourself now.

This guy called me all sorts of names today for suggesting the Ford targeting call was correct.

him and stache might be the same person. They make outlandish posts that border on being lies, then when called on it they never retract anything.

Whipple was a fired old man headed home until Pitt threw him a life line. Is he good, nope, is he bad, nope, is he what he is, very avg, so far that is my take. That is why he was fired and headed home, very avg.

You are comparing college and NFL stats? Better comparison would be college Peterman pre-Canada. Still think there was a ton of improvement there.
