That some of you guys continue to find consolation in LOSING close games to good teams , is that where this program is at right ? We were up 8 with 8 minutes to go at HOME to a team that played horrible all game until we decided to stop playing defense and give up wide open 3's ..

Yet some of you just seem to think it is ok that we "hung with" a good team .. It amazes me really .. With a coach that's making as much money as Jamie Dixon and our recent history we should never find consolation in losing any game .. The past 2 years we have been below average at best .. Losing most of our home games as well . The argument about other teams having more talent is ridiculous .. We have some pretty good talent on this team .. In fact I've seen us have much better teams with much less talent under Dixon .. We should have won that game .. Point blank period .. This team .. Just like last year is mentally WEAK .. And for the guys who make excuses that teams have better "Talent" than us .. Louisville really doesn't .. They played walk ons in crunch time .. The only player on that team who is better than what we have is Onouaku .. And maybe Lee but he is not impressive to me , they are simply a better coached team and they play defense because they know what it takes to win games .. Now if we wanna talk better talent .. Wait till you see how we matchup with Duke on Sunday ...

Dude, we are not that good.. It reminds me of a time when me and a few buddies went golfing a few years back. We are all extremely average to below average golfers, basically sticking around "bogey golf" area, very low 90's on your typical suburban public courses. Well my buddy is just hacking away, driving em into the woods, pretty much all over the place and after one bad shot, just drops the "f bomb" on top of his lungs. My other buddy looks at him very calmly and says, "bro, why are you mad? We suck at golf" The dude looks at him and basically says, you are right and from then on, was calm the rest of the round..

Pitt hoops is me and my friends, dropping a 91 on lindenwood red course and being mad, expecting to break par despite never having broke par ever before.. It's about expectations. If you expect an average to below average team to beat a #11 team in the country, you are going to be disappointed 95% of the time.. If you are an 18 handicap and you go out to a course and are pissed you didn't shoot in the 70's, you are gonna be disappointed 99% of the time. Take solace and comfort in your shortcomings, enjoy that lucky birdie on the par 3, the one where you "bladed" your 8 iron and the ball hit the pin going 90mph and stopped 2' from the hole for an easy tap-in 2. It's those moments that make life enjoyable.

I couldn't disagree with you more and it is sad to see the mindset of fans around here anymore .. It's sad how far we have fallen .. I guess we have no expectations anymore ..

Bro, look at our starting 5. Our starting Center is Mike from Mike and Molly. We literally have a shooting guard that cant dribble and hasn't hit a 3 pointer in over 4 games.. Be happy that the game was even a game..

Taking your analogy further.. if you go into the final 3 holes with a 4-stroke lead over a better golfer, you're right to be disappointed if you blow the lead.

That's pitt last night.

Or you could be happy that you hung with the better golfer for 15 holes.. Talent rises to the top if you play long enough. Ollie coming in at the end of the game and hitting the game winning foul shot against Cedar Knob is cool and all but there is a reason he doesn't start over Buddy.
