I'm thinking that Temple-Navy game could cause us some problems with TU slamming Navy right now--Navy is at 19 and could fall below us if they lose badly, but Temple would be 10-3 and might climb in. Of course if Clemson hammers VT, they at 23, may fall below us.

Staying at @#25 or moving up is very important, if only to see that 25 number beside us for the rest of the bowl season. Then hopefully moving up from 25 after our bowl win.

Temple should climb in, but that should be at the expense of South Florida (who shouldn't have been there in the first place), not Pitt. Pitt would still have an edge over Temple if for no other reason than the Penn State results.

Usually one does not drop if they don't play. However, it really comes down to the Bowl Games every year. Pitt wins it is 9-4 if not it will drop anyhow like last year, 8-5 did not cut it because Pitt got blown away by Navy.

The Bowl Game is very important and playing the highest competition and beating them is not essential but mandatory. Playing and beating WVU, Stanford, Iowa, Utah is far better than Northwestern or Minnesota, but 9-4 is a must to end up Ranked!

No Bowl Win at 9-4 No Top 25 Ranking at 8-5!

Funny, but aggravating. UNC loss was the second most pathetic collapse I've ever seen (Houston bowl game.) Va. Tech between garbage officiating and garbage defense, that should've been a win. So really we should have earned a higher ranking than them by winning two games we had no business losing.

Yeah. I wish at least one of those games came after the Clemson win. I don't think we lose like that now.

I think Navy definitely drops from the top 25. VTech drops too if they lose big tonight.
