Another piece of context to remember with Drumgoole, too, is that there was a significant chunk of preseason practice where Champagnie was injured. He got healthy in time for the season to start, but he missed a bunch of practice time and Drumgoole didn't, which may have factored into the opening day starting lineup. IIRC and FWIW, Champagnie generally put up better numbers than Drumgoole in the foreign tour (again, FWIW).
